Sorry to advise that this event was dependent on grant funding, which was unsuccessful a for June 2025 weekend. We will be trying again for the future to bring back our fun weekend event and a high quality musical performance with full orchestra to the Blue Mountains.

Following the success of our second Sing in the Mountains event, Mozart Requiem, we are now preparing for a performance of Haydn Creation in the Blue Mountains on the weekend of […]. For this performance our core choir will have rehearsed the work under our musical director, Amy Moore, and will be augmented with guest singers from the Blue Mountains, Sydney and beyond for one weekend of intensive rehearsals before performing on Sunday afternoon with an orchestra comprising the mountains’ most talented musicians.

We are still at the early stages of organising our next event. We have booked the weekend of […] though that’s still subject to final confirmation. We need to avoid conflict with similar activities and find a time when halls and musicians are available.  We will confirm the date soon and we will be able to answer all your questions around preferred scores, rehearsal resources, timetable for the weekend etc.

Our expectation is that Amy Moore will follow our previous schedule with two rehearsals for the choir on the Saturday, a full rehearsal with orchestra on Sunday morning and our performance on Sunday afternoon.  A lovely weekend away in the Blue Mountains with some downtime to enjoy the scenery and the abundant food and drink options which the mountains have to offer. 

In the meantime we welcome guest singers to sign up your interest online and we will then let you know as soon as details are confirmed and bookings are open.
